Third scent from Aesop – Hwyl Eau de Parfum – is an intriguing fragrance that evokes the greenery and tranquility of an ancient Japanese forest. The scent opens with smoky notes, which then transition into the aroma of wood, moss, and subtle spices.
Created in collaboration with French perfumer Barnabé Fillion, who also worked on Marrakech Intense, Hwyl Eau de Parfum is inspired by the Japanese hinoki tree and its famous lush moss gardens.
Fillion describes Hwyl Eau de Parfum as recreating the feeling of solitude and escape into nature, stimulating the sense of smell with an eclectic blend of strong botanical extracts. The smoky beginning of the scent transforms into an aromatic blend of spices and fresh thyme extract.
Hwyl is sold in 50ml amber glass bottles packaged in a box featuring the work of Australian artist Jonathan McCabe.

About the brand Aēsop
Simple botanical recipes, scents that occur in nature, timeless, unchanging aesthetics. Thanks to its extraordinary sense, consistency and lack of intrusive advertising, the brand has established a strong position in the market. And it has maintained it since 1987.
Aēsop is based on plant extracts in many forms, and the formulas contain the best plant collections from a given season - which is why they are slightly different every year. However, the brand does not limit itself to natural ingredients, sometimes reaching for synthetic substances - always tested for safety. There is no division here into time of day (although there are exceptions) or gender. What else distinguishes it? It invests in innovation, but also... relationships with the world of art - limited edition packaging is created in collaboration with outstanding artists.

Aesop provides an experience consistent with everything that the brand represents - an aura of discreet elegance, self-assurance, and decadence.

Hwyl envelops you in the scent of smoke and spices, before the air clears and you find yourself barefoot on a forest clearing, and your senses sharpen thanks to the earthy notes of vetiver, thyme, and moss.
