Ingredients

Vitamin C

Vitamin C neutralizes free radicals, protecting cells from reactive oxygen species (ROS) that the body produces to combat infections. It helps maintain balance to prevent excessive (harmful) ROS production induced by oxidative stress. It may also exhibit antiviral activity helpful in colds. Vitamin C helps strengthen both innate and acquired immunity. Its deficiency is associated with immunological disorders, abnormal collagen synthesis, and increased production of free radicals. The recommended daily intake of vitamin C is 75-90 mg.

Vitamin D

Vitamin D is essential for the proper functioning of the phagocytic system closely related to immunity. It stimulates the production of proteins that fight bacteria and increases the number of T lymphocytes, defending against viruses. It also promotes wound healing. Vitamin D deficiency is associated with immunological disorders, such as reduced proliferation of B lymphocytes and decreased production of immunoglobulins (antibodies). It is recommended to take vitamin D through exposure to sunlight (min. 5-30 minutes twice a week). When taking vitamin supplements: D2 (ergocalciferol) and D3 (cholecalciferol), you need 600-800 IU. The recommended daily prophylactic dose of vitamin D is 800-2000 IU (maximum dose is 4000 IU).

Magnesium

Magnesium supports the immune system, helps strengthen muscles and bones. It supports many body functions - including the work of the heart and brain. It also contributes to reducing feelings of fatigue and weariness. It helps maintain water-electrolyte balance, proper energy metabolism, and proper functioning of the nervous system.

Zinc

Zinc is essential for the growth and communication of cells in the immune system. It plays an important role in creating an inflammatory defense response. Zinc deficiency significantly affects the ability of the immune system to function properly, increasing the risk of infections, including pneumonia. Zinc supplementation may be beneficial for those already ill.

Selenium

Selenium fights free radicals because it influences the reduction of reactive oxygen species (ROS) production. It also stimulates the overall immune response (activation of T and B lymphocytes, as well as cytokine release). Selenium deficiency is associated with immunological disorders, such as lack of protection against free radicals, reduced activity of white blood cells and NK cells. The recommended daily intake is 20-55 ug.

N-Acetyl L-Cysteine

Reduces mucus viscosity in the respiratory tract, which has a beneficial effect on the functioning of the respiratory system, including the lungs.

Elderberry

Elderberry (Sambucus nigra) has long been used in the treatment of infections. It has been shown to elicit a stronger immune system response, so it can help shorten the duration and severity of colds, as well as alleviate symptoms associated with viral infections.

Turmeric root extract

Curcumin is the main active compound in turmeric. It has strong anti-inflammatory properties. Studies suggest that it may improve the body's immunity.

Quercetin

Quercetin belongs to water-soluble plant pigments called flavonoids. It can be found in onions, apples, green and black tea. Flavonoids have the ability to neutralize free radicals, converting them into less reactive compounds, reducing their potential to damage cells. Quercetin is the most well-researched bioflavonoid, and scientists have high hopes for it. One of the latest studies has shown its beneficial effect on the circulatory system. It has antioxidant properties and also participates in inhibiting the production and release of histamine, meaning that benefits of its intake can be enjoyed by allergy sufferers.
