Creating a laboratory version of the scent of violets was one of the earliest triumphs of fragrance chemistry and since then, these ionones have been a pillar of perfumery. Violettyne® is the 21st century answer to their nostalgic, powdery scent: supernaturally bright violet with a metallic vibration surrounded by fluorescent green. This cutting-edge molecule, patented in 2000 by Firmenich, transforms the scent of lumen_esce* into light.
The Electric Violet symbolizes the color of majesty and mysticism. Of secrets and magic. Of inspiration and harmony... For millennia, it has been associated with elevation and is also the highest frequency of visible light. In lumen_esce*, Frank Voelkl plays on both meanings of this word, expressing the essence of the color through the full spectrum of the flower's scent. The intense molecule of Violettyne® is reinforced by the cool, cucumber-like essence of violet leaves, attacking with a high-voltage current from the flowers to the roots. The petals tremble, and the spring bouquet of flowers releases its aromas (freesia, jasmine, iris, and rose). Paczula Prisma, an innovative natural ingredient distilled and recombined to enhance its woody warmth, casts a black light on this radiant bouquet.
