How will you spend the last night of your life? Johann Friedrich Struensee, the Danish court physician sentenced to death, spent his final evening with his beloved and friends. As always, they indulged in champagne and his favorite figs. The sun was setting, the sky turning purple. Purple Fig is joy and sadness, laughter and tears, bitterness and sweetness.
