Collaboration between Maison Kitsune and Heeley Parfums has resulted in a unisex fragrance, an eclectic blend of pop, fashion, and multicultural notes of English, French, and Japanese origins.
Note de Yuzu is the first fragrance of Maison Kitsune, founded in Paris in 2002 by Gildas Loaëc, former manager of the French electronic duo Daft Punk. Since then, this Parisian-Tokyo brand has gained international fame.
Note de Yuzu contains the energy and freshness of Japanese yuzu, an incredibly fresh and appetizing fruit that James Heeley used to express the radiant and colorful energy associated with Maison Kitsune. In this composition, English, French, and Japanese influences come together to create a dazzling scent. The marine note provides a burst of freshness and reveals the sensual saltiness of the skin, evoking traditional Japanese yuzu baths.
In Europe, citrus scents are often associated with summer, while in Japan, yuzu is a symbol of winter. During the winter solstice, known as Toji, the Japanese take hot, relaxing yuzu baths. Bright, yellow fruits float on the surface of the water, releasing their scent and, according to Japanese traditional beliefs, restoring health, youth, and well-being.
