Can be used:
- before shaving: softens and prepares the skin for shaving, also prevents wrinkles. How to use: apply 2-3 minutes before shaving; massage into the skin thoroughly, then shave.
- as a shaving cream: its moisturizing properties make it easier to glide the razor over the skin, leaving it smooth and soft. How to use: apply the necessary amount to soften the beard, then shave as usual.
- after shaving: moisturizes and rebuilds the lipid barrier that was damaged during shaving. How to use: apply to the skin after shaving.
About the brand Santa Maria Novella
Florence is home to one of the oldest pharmacies in the world - Officina Profumo Farmaceutica di Santa Maria Novella, which dates back to the 13th century. Famous scents and skincare products have been created for centuries from a blend of flowers and herbs collected from the hills of Tuscany, maturing in old terracotta jars. Among the compositions still produced today according to Dominican formulas are Acqua di Colonia (Catherine de' Medici's favorite scent), created in the 17th century Acqua di Santa Maria Novella, and Acqua di Rose - an excellent refreshing tonic, sold since the second half of the 14th century, as well as hand-shaped and packaged soaps, which mature for 60 days in ventilated cabinets.
