Today I know that life is one big journey, leading to the end of the world, because only there can we find the lost harmony" - said the famous Swiss traveler Ella Maillart, who was one of the few people from Western countries to reach Nepal in 1951, the birthplace of Buddha.
As the sea levels rise, mountains will be one of the last places of refuge. These lands, so foreign and hostile to humans, will become their only sanctuary. Eleventh Hour is a fantasy about transience, a journey to the ends of the world and the last perfumes that will be created on Earth.
Among the top notes, pepper and citrus accents of ban timmur dominate, transporting us to the heights of Nepal, where this plant comes from. Wild fig, the first forbidden fruit, is the heart note of the Eleventh Hour composition. It symbolizes desire, and its scent is sweet and dangerously seductive. The base is made up of warm notes of tonka bean and cashmere, which emanate positive, cosmic energy, resonating with the energy of the human body enclosed in a solar braid. This fragrance restores the bond between man and the universe.
Stockholm-based perfumery house, founded in 2006. Behind the global success and all the brand's creations stands founder and artistic director Ben Gorham. His multicultural background, bridging Canada, India and Sweden, is reflected in the unique character of Byredo perfumes.
"I am not a perfumer. I create a brief and show it to a professional scent creator. Images, film, poetry, music, words, objects, other scents - these are my inspirations... I have trained my nose. I had to learn a different language to communicate with perfumers, but over time I gained experience. From the very beginning, I have also been working with the same specialists. We understand each other perfectly" - says Gorham.
