Javanol, mastic, cistus labdanum, Iso E Super, Muscone (musk), Ambroxan™Escentric 04 is a formula built around the molecule Javanol to emphasize its grapefruit face. As a result, a unique, fresh interpretation of sandalwood scent was created, starting with sharp, effervescent, bitter notes of orange grapefruit peel, additionally enhanced by lime.
Juniper and pink pepper intensify the feeling of freshness, while marijuana brings out the softer aspects of grapefruit albedo. In the heart of the composition, irises and fresh, soft roses bloom - this note was recreated from many ingredients derived from roses.
The base is made up of woody and balsamic accords of Javanol combined with another, slightly sweeter molecule with a sandalwood scent, Polysantol. - In other Escentric fragrances, I used large amounts of this molecule - explains Geza Schön - but Javanol is like truffles: just grate a little and add to pasta to achieve true heights of flavor. As a result, Javanol and Polysantol together make up to 15% of the composition of Escentric 04 perfume.
Escentric Molecules owes its existence to a scent that does not exist in nature, and which in the 1970s was used to enhance and fix compositions. It smells rather warm and woody, and sometimes not at all, because its scent changes depending on the environment, temperature, and substrate. The founder of the brand, Geza Schoen, recalls when he first smelled the isolated Iso E Super: "I understood that the common denominator of all the scents I liked was that they contained a large dose of Iso E Super. You can never have enough of it. It's like a drug or an aphrodisiac."
He first started experimenting, increasing the doses until he finally created a scent containing only the pure molecule. This is how the legendary Molecule 01 was born, which smells completely different on everyone - supposedly like the pheromones of the person wearing it.
