To fully enjoy your candle:

• When lighting the candle for the first two times, allow it to burn for at least 5 hours until the entire surface of the wax becomes liquid. This will prevent "wells" from forming around the wick.
• Use a snuffer to extinguish the candle. This will prevent hot wax from splattering.
• To ensure even burning of the candle, trim the wick with a wick trimmer while the wax is still liquid after extinguishing it.
• Regularly trim the wick with a wick trimmer (ideal length: 3 to 5 mm) to avoid smoking or overheating of the candle.

To refill the candle:

• When there is about 5 mm of wax left at the bottom or the metal wick tab is visible, it is a sign that the candle has been burned.
• Once the wax has cooled, place the candle container in a bowl of water heated to 60°C. The water should reach halfway up the container. Wait 2 minutes for the wax to soften.
• Remove the container from the water, then first insert a knife with a rounded tip between the container and the edges of the remaining wax, and then gently slide the knife under the wax. Remove it and discard.
• Wash and dry the container.
• Remove the wax insert from the holder - pull the protruding wings to open it. Then place the wax insert in the container.

The history began in 1961, when three friends - Desmond Knox-Leet, Christiane Gautrot and Yves Coueslant - opened a boutique on the Saint Germain boulevard in Paris. One element is always added to the composition, seemingly deviating from the rest, but in reality deepening the experience. In L'Eau, inspired by 16th century potpourri blends, it was ginger. In turn, in the bestselling Do Son, a hypnotic blend of tuberose and jasmine is joined by a vibrant sea accord.
