Description
Symphony of finely burned wood creates a rich and sensual scent. Palissandre D'Or sheds new light on the immortal fragrance of noble wood, with a palette of burnt hay, red lacquer, and melted gold.
The idea arose from palisander Dalbergia sissoo, which historically was the main species of this tree in northern India. Another type of palisander, resembling intricate sculptures set in warm, Asian groves, provided further inspiration. "I cannot create too figurative scents," explains perfumer Alberto Morillas. "For me, perfumes are a melody."

About the brand Aedes de Venustas
Since 1995, an olfactory art gallery founded by perfume connoisseurs — Robert Gerstner and Karl Bradl, an independent perfume brand since 2012. The first fragrance, Aedes de Venustas (Latin for "temple of beauty") Signature, was created in contrast to the traditional fragrance pyramid model — commonly accepted division into base, heart, and top notes was replaced with their own scheme.
