In the spring of 1938, at the height of her fame, Greta Garbo suddenly disappeared from the Hollywood scene. A few weeks later, paparazzi discovered her secret hideaway: a stunning villa in Ravello on the Amalfi coast, with windows overlooking the blue waters of the Mediterranean Sea and gardens filled with the scent of famous Ravello roses.
After moments of happiness spent in hiding with her new lover, the divine Garbo once again shone in the limelight. From then on, she was herself again. Love, the sea, the sky, and roses worked wonders. Her stay in Ravello left a lasting impression, and the perfume brand Eau d'Italie dedicated their new Eau de Parfum, Rosa Greta, to this story of life and love.

About the brand Eau d'Italie
Fragrance collection - presented in various forms - inspired by the sun-drenched aromas of the Amalfi coast and the charm of the legendary hotel Le Sirenuse in Positano. In addition to the typically Mediterranean ingredients, the creators of the brand, Marina Sersale and Sebastián Alvarez Murena, have added another truly Italian one - la passione, which means passion.
Eau d'Italie fragrances often feature notes that we associate with Italy - bitter orange, angelica, marigold, cedar, and cypress. They evoke the scent of sun-warmed terracotta, sea breeze, love, tenderness, and the extraordinary history of two families.

Reviews of Rose Greta
Italian perfumery Eau d'Italie could already claim to have created some of the most beautiful rose perfumes, Paestum Rose - a richly textured scent of late evening created by Bertrand Duchaufour in 2006. And yet its founders and creative directors, Marina Sersale and Sebastián Alvarez Murena, commissioned a new fragrance from Fabrice Pellegrina, named Rosa Greta in honor of Greta Garbo's house on the Amalfi coast. Around the central rose structure, Pellegrin used fresh, clean lychee and white tea, which lift the scent of rose until it becomes as smooth as glass and almost weightless.
