Description
Gothic composition, exquisite and dark like a papal palace looming menacingly over the history of nations... The carmine red of the papal throne is painted with a bloody, bright scent of rose, cut with notes of ylang-ylang and raspberry. Heart notes of wax, wood, cocoa, black truffle and earthy, smoky vetiver will transport us to the secret apartments of the Bishop of Rome. Golden sculptures and sacred ornaments shine in the candlelight, while grey tongues of smoke rise from the thuribles, in which incense of sandalwood, musk and amber burns.

Reviews of Rouge Avignon
The cocoa and truffle accord turns Rouge Avignon into a rich gourmand scent, which finishes with a base of vetiver, sandalwood, and amber. I like the appetizing heart of Rouge Avignon, but I have to admit that the strength of rose and raspberry in the top notes takes some getting used to. I think I will return to this scent in cool, autumn days.
