Where am I? Is this a dream or reality?
Sogni tells about a moment of suspension between dream and reality, a moment when our heart and mind are still far away, and we feel lost, disoriented - suspended between worlds.
Through Sogni, I speak about my love for Japan, about past travels, admiration for the works of Kawabata, Kurosawa's films, and bonsai trees.
I wanted to tell a new story through warm, woody perfumes. My Japanese dream.
One day, long ago, I thought or dreamed that I could create the perfect woody scent, in which different types of wood would tell about time and passing. It was supposed to be a unique, intriguing, captivating scent. It was a challenge.
Sogni is the fulfillment of this dream, a direct experience, incredibly close to reality and nature. A beautiful dedication to nature.
The scent opens with tatami wood and Japanese pine needles. We are in an old ryokan in Kyoto and the rain has just stopped.
Next to us is a bowl of hot rice, reminding us of the simplicity of life, of what is pure and innocent in it.
Our attention is drawn to the vivid, green, fresh scent of a bamboo grove. The floral note of peony is an emotional haiku.
The moment before the soul awakens from sleep.
Finally, the morning light envelops us with woody notes of sandalwood, cedar, and incense, an aroma inseparably linked to the Kodo ritual.
This is a journey to the beauty of Japanese harmony.
I dedicate the perfume to my wonderful friend, Makoto Horisaki.
The creation of the Sogni scent was accompanied by music from the album Async by R. Sakamoto and the works of Y. Kawabata.

About the brand Meo Fusciuni
Meo, also known as Giuseppe Imprezzabile, is a chemist specializing in herbal medicine. He also studied anthropology and ethnobotany, diligently delving into the knowledge of natural medicine and aromatherapy. Perhaps that's why he shies away from typical nomenclature - instead of being called a nose or a perfumer, he prefers to be called, as in ancient times, an "Aromatario" (a person who knows everything about the origin, properties, and processing of herbs and spices). We would add a wizard without hesitation, because that's exactly what he does with and through scents - he enchants.
Meo Fusciuni offers not only (exceptional) products, but also - if not primarily - a certain (beautiful) vision of the world. A world filtered through the sensitivity of an independent creator, a poetic and mystical world. Encouraging us to search and showing us how much we can gain if we just allow a little magic into our lives. We don't have to look far - according to Meo, it is present in everyday gestures, rituals, feelings, favorite songs, chance encounters, memories of travels, or planning for the future.
