It brings to mind sharpening a pencil and evokes a feeling of nostalgia for school days when everything seemed simpler. It is also associated with Scandinavian cottages and wooden furniture, adding warmth to modern style designs. As a color from the perfumer's palette, it gives the fragrance composition energy and space.
Stockholm-based perfumery house, founded in 2006. Behind the global success and all the brand's creations stands founder and artistic director Ben Gorham. His multicultural background, bridging Canada, India and Sweden, is reflected in the unique character of Byredo perfumes.
"I am not a perfumer. I create a brief and show it to a professional scent creator. Images, film, poetry, music, words, objects, other scents - these are my inspirations... I have trained my nose. I had to learn a different language to communicate with perfumers, but over time I gained experience. From the very beginning, I have also been working with the same specialists. We understand each other perfectly" - says Gorham.
The brand also offers high-quality perfumed skincare products, as well as candles and home fragrances.
