According to Freud, uncanniness is something that is both familiar and unknown. This scent is an attempt to capture this quality: dark, pure, dirty, innocent, erotic, unsettling, and intriguing all at once. There is no known category that would describe this composition.
In 1873, the year Vienna hosted the 5th World's Fair, the term "Wiener Blut" was coined for the first time. Literally meaning Viennese blood, this expression describes the unique attitude of Viennese people, shaped by the city's cultural background and diverse ethnic origins at the end of the 19th century.
Popular formulas and fashions from this period continue to inspire the creations of the WienerBlut brand.
Initially, the fragrances of WienerBlut were based on the deconstruction and reconstruction of so-called Taschentuch-Parfums. The first product was introduced to the market at the legendary Parisian concept store Colette. Today, WienerBlut products can be found at top retailers worldwide.
