About the brand Maria Candida Gentile
Maria Candida graduated from the prestigious perfumery school in Grasse. She is close to the philosophy of slow factory, and uses only the best natural ingredients in her compositions, often sourced from small, organic farms. She creates honest, "personal" scents, in contrast to the mainstream. Each one tells a different story.
"My first memory is related to roses from my family's garden. When they were in bloom, I would gather the petals and make my own rose water, which I would then pour into bottles and give to my family. As I grew up, it became clear to me that creating perfumes is the passion of my life. I believe that a good scent is one that works well for the person wearing it. This effect can only be achieved with natural essences that speak to our body and mind, and that we instinctively love," she says.
Reviews of Leuco
The opening reminded me of an open jar of honey left next to a powder compact. The tuberose note starts to mix with it and does so brilliantly. Often, when I start to smell tuberose, I prepare myself for it to dominate everything. I felt the same way when I first smelled Leuco, but here the tuberose never becomes an overwhelming floral note. Instead, the French beeswax elevates it and transforms it into a shiny, white floral note.
