Description

Although the chemistry of scents does not yet allow for the transmission of all shades of green observed in nature, the range of possibilities already goes far beyond grassy green and "green apple". For example, the herbal molecule of the Givaudan brand, Glycolierral®, has allowed to capture the scent of crushed ivy leaves. Hence the name of this molecule: lierre means "ivy" in French.

SCENT: Thinking Green

Shisõ, pronounced with a long "o", means "modern thinking" in Japanese. On the other hand, shiso, pronounced with a short "o", is a leaf with an incredibly complex aroma. It is a flagship spice in Japanese cuisine, but rarely used in perfumery. This scent - a combination of mint, basil and cumin with a metallic sheen - has long fascinated Bertrand Duchaufour. His shi_sõ is a surprisingly modern take on the classic cologne, where citrus notes have been replaced by a feast of green notes. Refreshing cardamom breeze. Cooling green mint. Lemon verbena. Irritating blackcurrant. Almond-soapy anise. Tart rhubarb. Glycolierral® gives this refreshing composition a sweet, milky and juicy character.

Fragrance Notes
Glycolierral®, shiso, ivy, cardamom, mint, verbena, blackcurrant

About the brand Nomenclature

New York's absolutely futuristic answer to the traditional approach to creating perfumes. Its secret lies in exclusive, synthetic molecules and advanced biotechnology. Each of the brand's fragrances consists of only a few notes, yet it is incredibly multidimensional and crystal clear. These compositions will appeal to fans of "synthetics".

The duo of perfumers Karl Bradl and Carlos Quintero signs all the compositions.
