For centuries, devoted monks cultivated tea and indigo plants on terrace plantations in the Wuyi Mountains. In 1646, their monasteries were attacked from the north by Qing soldiers. When the monks were forced to flee, they smoked tea leaves over a fire made from pine trees to preserve their harvest. This is how the smoky lapsang souchong tea was created. In the blend of fresh mountain air, incense from nearby temples, and the intoxicating smoke of burning indigo, the colors of the Wuyi Mountains and the curves of the mountain rivers were hidden.

When smelling Anima Dulcis, we are transported to the refectory of the Royal Monastery of Mary Jesus in 17th century Mexico. A group of nuns prepares spicy cocoa here according to a baroque recipe enriched with chili peppers, jasmine extract, cinnamon, and sweet vanilla. Meanwhile, Sydney Rock Pool is like surfing on the Australian coast in the 1970s - it contains warm sun-kissed notes of minerals, sea salt, coconut, and woody scents. Just close your eyes and you can completely forget yourself.
