Flowery alleys, birds singing, the beauty of houses with colorful doors and the cheerful sound of water flowing through the terraces of the ingenious irrigation system called falaj. The waterways were built by humans to distribute it fairly. Many warriors became gardeners. In this way, Misfah Al Abreyeen became an oasis of abundance.
What wonderful orchards grow there! Pomegranates, peaches, figs and apricots give abundant harvests in the middle of the mountainous desert, and wherever you look, huge palm trees grow, their branches heavy with dates. They bring to mind the words of Amin Maalouf:
