Mixed Emotions is a fragrance that perfectly fits today's restless times and reflects the nature of a rapidly changing world. What is familiar is combined with what is unexpected, but the contrast creates a cohesive, harmonious composition. Drawing from Byredo's philosophy of translating memories and ideas into scent, Mixed Emotions presents an olfactory record of how we feel and think today. Soothing notes of yerba mate and sharp sweetness of blackcurrant are accompanied by woody accords; the comforting scent of black tea is juxtaposed with the aroma of violet leaves. This extraordinary composition carries an important message: we don't always have to feel great, we have the right to feel. And from difficult experiences and anxiety, a new reality can emerge.
Stockholm-based perfumery house, founded in 2006. Behind the global success and all the brand's creations stands founder and artistic director Ben Gorham. His multicultural background, bridging Canada, India and Sweden, is reflected in the unique character of Byredo perfumes.
"I am not a perfumer. I create a brief and show it to a professional scent creator. Images, film, poetry, music, words, objects, other scents - these are my inspirations... I have trained my nose. I had to learn a different language to communicate with perfumers, but over time I gained experience. From the very beginning, I have also been working with the same specialists. We understand each other perfectly" - says Gorham.
The brand also offers high-quality perfumed skincare products, as well as candles and home fragrances.
