Pelargonium is a portrait of flowers, from which it takes its name, arranged in a bouquet similar to mysterious compositions from the golden age of Dutch painting. The enchanting elegance of a still life painted with scent. "My aesthetic inspiration was an old-school flower that everyone thinks they know, even though no one really knows it," says perfumer Nathalie Feisthauer, who brought geranium out from the depths of the fragrance pyramid and used freshly crushed leaves to illuminate its dark woody and resinous scents, revealing its complex aspects.
As it is worn, the impressive bouquet of Pelargonium takes on a modest, abstract elegance like a work of art that slowly reveals its beauty to us.
Since 1995, an olfactory art gallery founded by perfume connoisseurs — Robert Gerstner and Karl Bradl, an independent perfume brand since 2012. The first fragrance, Aedes de Venustas (Latin for "temple of beauty") Signature, was created in contrast to the traditional fragrance pyramid model — commonly accepted division into base, heart, and top notes was replaced with their own scheme.
The distinguishing note of all the brand's creations is incense — combined with extraordinary, rare, and often the most expensive ingredients in the world.
