Smoky perfumes with French juniper wood at its heart. Precious oils extracted from burnt frankincense resin give a scent reminiscent of the interior of a temple. The elegant yet intriguing character of the perfume is thanks to the absolute of Turkish rose. Next, we add sweet, honeyed notes of guaiac wood and precious vanilla from Madagascar. This creates hypnotizing and mysterious perfumes - for lovers of strong, complex scents with a distinct personality.
Burning incense sets the mood of a temple, while Turkish rose makes the scent truly refined, but also modern and joyful. The woody notes come from the well-known species of juniper, which grows on seaside rocks in the Mediterranean Basin. Through distillation of its rough bark, we obtain a dark, resinous oil with a strong smoky scent. In ancient cultures, it was believed to have the power to ward off evil spirits. In medieval Europe, it was used to scent leather after the tanning process, which left an unpleasant smell.

The founders create their own uncompromising recipes - in terms of integrity, cost and quality. They use traditional, artisanal and time-consuming methods. Each bottle of Raer perfume is hand-filled in the Atelier in Berlin, just across the Spree from the Neue Nationalgalerie.
