Description

First in the history of the Astier de Villatte brand and first in the world of perfumery - three historic scents: Le Dieu Bleu, Artaban and Les Nuits. The collection is packaged in a luxurious gold box tied with a paper strap, along with a book of the same dimensions, which describes the extraordinary history of the three scents from 4000 BC.

The book, printed on a traditional machine belonging to Astier de Villatte, is bilingual. The illustrations are the work of artist Eva Jospin.

Three 10 ml glass bottles have a more or less amber color depending on the composition of the perfume, and their black caps feature the AV logo.

The scents are also available in sizes of 30 and 100 ml.

About the brand Astier de Villatte

Brand with a crafty touch. Its founders, Ivan Pericoli and Benoît Astier de Villatte, produce ceramics using traditional 19th century methods - making each piece timeless and unique. But ceramics are not the end! In 2008, the pair invited renowned "noses": Emilie Mazeaud and Françoise Carona (a star from the Japanese perfume house Takasago) to collaborate. This resulted in a line of colognes, incense, and scented candles. The candles deserve special recognition - each wick (made of pure cotton) is tailored to the specific composition, while the glass vessels, decorated with small air bubbles, are made in an old-fashioned workshop in Tuscany. The labels and cardboard packaging are printed by one of the last typesetters in France - Monsieur Huin.

More about Les Parfums Historiques

Le Dieu Bleu, Artaban, Les Nuits – these perfumes are the result of a meeting of the creators of Astier de Villate: Ivan Pericole, Benoît Astier de Villatte, Dominique Ropion, perfumer, and Annick Le Guérer, a perfume historian, anthropologist, and researcher.

Ivan Pericoli and Benoît Astier de Villatte are lovers of impossible tasks – they like to bring neglected, damaged things back to life that have fallen into oblivion. Therefore, they had no doubt that it was worth experiencing such an adventure. They had already created perfumes and scented candles with their collaborator Emilie Mazeaud, now they decided to revive three forgotten scents, using the research of Annick Le Guérer and the talent of Dominique Ropion.

The starting point was Ropion's collaboration with Annick Le Guérer, which has been going on for over 20 years. The historian provided the famous nose with precise documentation concerning the first two scents – formulas with proportions of all ingredients – as well as remnants of perfumes from a travel vial owned by George Sand, which was entrusted to him by one of the writer's descendants, Christiane Sand.

Ingredients that do not meet modern standards have been modified or replaced. The use of the latest technology and innovation enabled the creators of Astier de Villate and their collaborators to meet the challenge they had set for themselves.
