Gua Sha has been used in China for centuries. Smooth stones, antlers, or coins were used for this massage technique to induce redness (sha) and heal and strengthen the skin. In the past, this technique was used all over the body, but today it is primarily used on the face and neck.
Practicing Gua Sha massage has the power to prevent dynamic wrinkles, strengthen the natural contour of the face, and relieve muscle tension. It has been proven to relieve tension in the face, reduce swelling and inflammation, and even help reduce sinus pressure.
It aids in lymphatic drainage, improving the natural contour of the face and relieving tension in wrinkled brows and clenched jaws.
Why did we choose stainless steel Gua Sha instead of the stone version?
- antibacterial stainless steel is non-porous, which prevents the accumulation of bacteria that can transfer to the skin.
- natural cooling - steel is naturally cold to the touch, no need to put it in the freezer
- environmentally friendly - our massage tools are made from recycled materials and are 100% recyclable
Be sure to use a serum or balm/oil to achieve a BIG slip! When performing a massage that resembles scraping the skin, start from the center of the face and gently move outwards. Use a smaller indentation to massage the nose, space between the eyebrows and jawline, and a longer edge on the cheeks and forehead. Use 3 times a week.
