Description

"I dedicate these perfumes to the Way of Saint James - a long trail where travelers often find their way back to the lost dimension between the sphere of holiness and the sphere of physicality. In particular, I dedicate them to Cape Fisterra - after arriving in Santiago, one can walk almost one hundred kilometers along it. Local tradition calls for travelers to take a bath in the ocean. Then they should burn the clothes they wore during the march, and as a memento of this experience, they should keep the shell they found there.

The inspiration for this creation was the encounter with the ocean, the power of the sea, wind and nature, and the unique energy of this place."

About the brand Maria Candida Gentile

Maria Candida graduated from the prestigious perfumery school in Grasse. She is close to the philosophy of slow factory, and uses only the best natural ingredients in her compositions, often sourced from small, organic farms. She creates honest, "personal" scents, in contrast to the mainstream. Each one tells a different story.

"My first memory is related to roses from my family's garden. When they were in bloom, I would gather the petals and make my own rose water, which I would then pour into bottles and give to my family. As I grew up, it became clear to me that creating perfumes is the passion of my life. I believe that a good scent is one that works well for the person wearing it. This effect can only be achieved with natural essences that speak to our body and mind, and that we instinctively love," she says.

Reviews of Finisterre

I live by the sea, I love it and have long felt a deep, spiritual connection with it. I adore the smell of the ocean - salty and full of the aroma of sea creatures. These perfumes smell just like the ocean with a touch of the scent of trees growing along the dunes. But it's not the smell of the beach where you lie to sunbathe. It's the path along the cliff, filled with sunlight, but treacherous.
