Sky-high romance.
In the Middle Eastern countries, the pace of life is mainly dictated by the Moon. Its fleeting silhouette marks both the beginning and the end of festive celebrations. In Arabic, the phrase "my moon" is often used in romances: it expresses adoration, admiration for beauty, and eternal devotion to a loved one.
In the composition of this fragrance, the warm richness of rose, oud, and frankincense meets with a surprising abundance of ripe red berries. This is a subtle reference to flavored, fruity tobacco, smoked in a hookah: a specialty of the region. Red currant and raspberry add sweetness and color to the whole.
This is an adoration of the moon's new moon.

About the brand Editions de Parfums Frédéric Malle
How can one create exceptional perfumes in today's world dominated by intrusive advertising? Frederic Malle believes that the key to success is allowing creators the same freedom and independence that existed in the profession several decades ago. This lack of limitations has resulted in many old scents still being considered icons of perfumery. That's why Malle gives perfumers a free hand and strives to remove any obstacles that may hinder the process of uninhibited creation. He tells them to create their dream scent without being limited by budget, tastes, or marketing briefs. The result? Mistaking this brand's creations for commercial perfumes is simply impossible.
Each composition comes in the same packaging - a cylindrical bottle with a black cap, which has become the signature of the French brand.

Reviews of The Moon
The Moon is a vision of a younger perfumer, I think it can also appeal to a younger audience. It has all the characteristics of Arabic perfumes, with oud, rose, leather and saffron, but there is also a "French" inspiration here - a refreshing note of red fruits. For me, it was important for the fruits to be noticeable not only in the top note and to quickly disappear, I wanted this playfulness of the fruits to be truly long-lasting.
