Description

Byredo presents the Tulipmania collection, inspired by the historical phenomenon also known as "tulip fever". This term is used to describe an economic phenomenon that occurred in 17th century Holland, involving a huge increase in prices of tulip bulbs and an unprecedented fashion for these flowers.

Tulipmania is also a collection based on the scent of La Tulipe from 2010. Juicy rhubarb opens the composition and serves as the beginning for a light creation of freesia and cyclamen. The true character of the scent is revealed later, when the green becomes more distinct and every space is filled with the scent of tulips. In La Tulipe, the horizon becomes the border between the sky and a field of yellow and red flowers. The created place is full of fresh wind passing through the dense stems and leaves, with a sensual vetiver as its base, with its woody, slightly dark green notes.
