Creamy scent of sandalwood, strong and long-lasting. The founder and perfumer Aurélien Guichard introduced Nepalese black cardamom absolute developed exclusively for Matiere Premiere as an addition to the original scent of Santal Austral.
Combined with a higher concentration of perfume and an even higher dose of the main natural ingredient - organic Australian sandalwood oil, black cardamom provides exceptional intensity and transfers the scent of Santal Austral to more earthy and energetic territories.
Matiere Premiere, a perfume brand whose name simply means "raw materials", is a collection of scents inspired by the world around us. Master perfumer Aurélien Guichard meticulously created each fragrance around one note, which he found in nature. Both key ingredients (musk, neroli, Italian citron, guaiac wood, centifolia rose, sandalwood, frankincense, birch tar) and accompanying components are sourced exclusively from organic, environmentally responsible farms around the world.
