About the brand Maria Candida Gentile

Maria Candida graduated from the prestigious perfumery school in Grasse. She is close to the philosophy of slow factory, and uses only the best natural ingredients in her compositions, often sourced from small, organic farms. She creates honest, "personal" scents, in contrast to the mainstream. Each one tells a different story.

"My first memory is related to roses from my family's garden. When they were in bloom, I would gather the petals and make my own rose water, which I would then pour into bottles and give to my family. As I grew up, it became clear to me that creating perfumes is the passion of my life. I believe that a good scent is one that works well for the person wearing it. This effect can only be achieved with natural essences that speak to our body and mind, and that we instinctively love," she says.

More about Viridarium

The Viridarium of Livia from the 1st century BC is a garden that can be admired in a beautifully preserved fresco at the National Museum in Rome. It was this garden that inspired the latest olfactory work of the Maria Candida brand. An analysis of the painting led to the preparation of a list containing all the plants from the Viridarium, which Maria Candida used to pay tribute to the garden. The fragrance combines seemingly mismatched scent notes, creating a new, fascinating world suspended between the past and the present, taking into account the brand's current style.
